Jenin youth produce spots for the movie theater

Together with young people at the Ahmed Khatib Youth we are presently producing promotional spots for Cinema Jenin, which will be shown at select cinemas in Europe. Roger Waters donates sound equipment
Following the Cinema for Peace Gala 2009, Roger Waters and Leonardo di Caprio agreed to come to the opening of Cinema Jenin in April, 2010. Waters, the founder of Pink Floyd and creator of „The Wall“, Roger Waters travelled on June 1st, 2009, to Jenin to visit the cinema. Roger Waters agreed to donate the sound equipment valued at 50,000 Euros for the movie theater. Press release (PDF)

Please support us by adopting a seat in the theater

You can support Cinema Jenin by sponsoring one of the 500 seats in the theatre. The German Foreign Ministry has already generously donated 172,000 Euros toward renovation of the building. In order to bring the project to fruition an additional 500,000 Euros is needed. The financing plan can be checked on our website.

Guesthouse in Jenin

We are presently renovating a guesthouse in Jenin, where volunteers, visitors, and supporters from around the world can stay. It is situated next door to the Cinema, and will offer three roomy eight-bed rooms, along with two double rooms.
